Corona, Ca…advanced FLOW engineering (aFe), an industry leader in performance cold air intakes, filters and exhaust systems is pleased to announce the release of their new Stage 2 polished cold air intake for the 2009 Ford F150, Expedition and Navigator with the 5.4L V8 part numbers 54-11623 and 51-11623.

The durable, one-piece 18-gauge powder coated heat shield blocks out engine heat and draws cold air from the existing lower airbox. 54-11623 includes the patented Pro-5R filter, which utilizes 5 layers of progressive cotton media that produces excellent filtration and maximum flow. 51-11623 includes the brand new Pro Dry S filter, which uses a progressive synthetic media, which requires no oil to recharge for maximum convenience.  This system also includes aFe’s Silver Bullet Throttle Body Spacer that helps maximize fuel/air mixture for increased performance and throttle response.

In recent testing, part number 54-11623 out flowed the factory intake by 35% and produced an astonishing 18hp and 36ft. lbs. of torque. (Tested with MACH Force exhaust part number 49-43015)

The AFE Air Filter is also molded from polyurethane that could support tighter seal with the air box. It’s also designed to withstand the chemical and temperature that are exposed by the engine. Nevertheless, no matter how filthy it looks, it is reusable once cleansed.
