Good move on Honda's part.
Honda Donates New Odyssey to Ronald McDonald House of Greater Washington D.C.
Donation a part of the National Hockey League's 'Biggest Assist Happens Off the Ice' Program
04/07/2011 - TORRANCE, Calif.
Honda donated a new 2011 Honda Odyssey minivan today to the Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Greater Washington D.C. as a part of the National Hockey League's (NHL) 'The Biggest Assist Happens Off the Ice' program. The 'Biggest Assist Happens Off the Ice' is the NHL's ongoing social responsibility program.
The Ronald McDonald House of Greater Washington D.C. was selected as a result of the 2011 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic™ game in which the Washington Capitals defeated the Pittsburg Penguins. The NHL also donated $200 to the Ronald McDonald House for every shot on goal during the game.
The Honda Odyssey was delivered to the Ronald McDonald House by Bill Page Honda of Fall Church, VA. The Odyssey will be used by the charity to aid in transporting families to and from the hospital.
For the past three years, Honda has been the official vehicle of the NHL and is a proud supporter of the league's ongoing community initiatives.
