I have to atrongly disagree, as I was involved in an accident with a side tank GM pick-up in 1983, ran into the GM on the right side rear of the cab and mainly direct into the tank with an IH 1 and half ton truck with a service bed and full of tools and 700 gallon of diesel fuel. It did alot of damage to the GM pick-up and no fire, and was fairly warm that day.I heard they was dropping ping pong balls into the tank with a liquid sustance that would cause ping pong ball to deteriorate and thus causing the explosions, thus a fraud. What about all 1970s ford pick-ups and early 80s Ford pick-ups frames, the frames was bending and not holding up.
