Has anyone come across this: I have a 2005 Ford Ranger I purchased in Feb. 2008. It had 22,000 miles and is still under warrenty. Every two months or so it will not start. I wait 30 minutes and it starts right up. Recently also in the 60 to 75 day cycle I will be driving down the road and it just quits and will not restart. Several hours later still no luck but if left overnight it will start the next morning no problem. I have had it back to a dealer several times but they could never recreate the problem. I even left it with them for 2 weeks to try to trouble shoot. Surley I am not the only one who has experienced this and I am looking for help. I have replace the fule filter but same thing.

Sounds like a problem somewhere in the charging system. If it's starting everyday until that 60th or 75th day it doesn't sound like the battery. Could be the alternator, but electrics are not my strong point. Hope you figure it out, these types of phantom "on and off" problems are the worst.
