If you were one of the executives of the many car companies around and you wanted to make a truck. The perfect truck for you. What type of drivetrain would it have? Styling? Anything else you can think of to put in or on this truck.

It would have the running gear from an older F-450 but with a Allison trans behind a Cummins engine. It would have a cab from an older narrow nose Peterbilt. Then of course it would be my own frame and Synchro-Link system on back. And of course I'd have about 10 or 12 different beds for it. At least that is the next one I'm going to build. F150 body style and frame
4.? liter diesel with 275 hp and 500 ft lb.  gets 20/25 EPA mpg and is clean and quiet like the mercedes diesel in the jeep grand cherokee.  Also is must be able to run bio-diesel
6 speed auto trans with tow/haul (tundra & GM)
locking rear diff (GM) and traction control
Bed with spray liner, tiedowns and side storage (titan)
Interior would be new GM with ford King Ranch leather
Back up camera (titan & GM suvs)
navigation and onstar (GM)
Warranty  5/100k   (GM)
4x4 system with 2Hi, full time 4x4, locked 4x4 and low range (Jeep)
large rear window that goes down not side to side
rear mirrors (super duty ford or titan)
tail gate step (super duty)
120 volt plugs in cab and bed
remote start

The perfect truck for me is an 87 toyota x-tra cab with shinny paint Smile

Another perfect truck for me would be a relatively low mile second-gen Dodge Ram 2500 Club Cab 4x4 with the Cummins 12-valve and a 5-speed manual.
