Hey guys can someone help me?

Have a 1997 dt466e and it has a knock, believe it to be a rod.

Also have a 1995 dt466 mechanical, I realize I would have to change the cam and cam cover. And the cylinder head. Can I make this work? Or is there another thing(s) I am missing?

Thank you!

The only way it will work, is if you run all mechanical. It will not work, trying to add the electronics stuff to the mechanical 466. Theres oil passages needed to run the injectors.

Thank you much.

How about working the dash from the electronic to the mechanical. Do I need a new dash?

I'm taking the electronic engine out and stuffing the mechanical in.

The 97 dt466e engine is in my rollback a 4700 international it's 190 hp with a 6speed
The replacement is a 95 mechanical dt 466 with an Allison not sure of the hp
What will it take to make the dash stuff work properly I know I'm going to loose cruse and high idle
But the oil pressure/ temp/ tac/ speedo/amp/volt I need this to work I really hoped the bottom
Ends were the same this crushes me but hey if the dash stuff is an easy fix I'm rolling again

I hope you mean DT570. It will physically swap right over, but it's an emissions issue that will cause a problem at some point.

It's a very easy swap. You have all the parts there. It's just a basic parts swap at that point, and you dont need to swap the timing gear case. Once you get it stabbed in there, set the timing up to about 17*. You could go as high as 19, if you have the fuel screw and gov springs adjusted.

The original poster would have a fuel plate with the 95, not the fuel screw/nuts. And for sure do the timing.....except his thread is 2 years old. I'm sure he got it figured out by now.
