"One of the limousines in Barack Obama's fleet has broken after reports that it was mistakenly filled with the wrong fuel at the start of the US president's visit to Israel.
Another limo is on its way from Jordan, according to Ma'an News agency, citing Israel's Channel 10, reportedly after a mixup over whether the vehicle ran on diesel or gasoline."

The Beast, as this Limo is known in the secret service membership, uses diesel fuel. It has a 6.5 Liter turbo diesel as used in the original military Hummers. It is not the same as the newer GM pickup truck 6.6 liter engines. It was used because there are parts and military mechanics able to do any repairs around the world when the Limo is overseas. Also, may other countries also use some of the original Hummers, so most friendly nations have the parts and properly trained mechanics on local bases as well for any service matters. So, the dummies who filled the tank put in GASOLINE, not diesel fuel and that is why it sputtered and stopped a few hundred feet away from where it was refueled. Diesel fuel and home heating oil and jet fuel are almost identical. It could probably run on Jet fuel A, as used in the 747 Air Force one. Even the newer military motorcycles have a diesel engine, so only one type of fuel is used around the world for all military equipment. That diesel motorcycle gets 110 miles per gallon. It is based on the dual purpose 650 CC Kawasaki gas motorcycle. It is now used by every United Nations country as the standard motorcycle with that diesel engine. If i recall correctly, it is about 600 CC in the diesel version. It first ran at Bonnyville salt flats about 5 years ago and did about 125 MPH top speed. Fred Hayes drove it as the company owner of Hayes Motorcycles. See his website at dieselmotorcycles.com for more details.
