you are NOT the only one to have this issue..

this is more than likely a PCV or crankcase breather issue...

why not start with this training section.. yes its on a different brand of car.. but the Theory is the same...

http://www.autoshop101.com/forms/h63.pdf

has any body changed the PCV valve.. and there is usually a breather filter stuck on the end of the breather hose.. usually in the air filter box..

for several decades now.. some PVC providers have boxed them by SHAPE.. not flow rates..  too much flow on the PCV will pull too much oil vapors from the crank case.. causing oil consumption..

in an engine rebuilding shop i worked at..  i took over the cylinder head department..   one engine kept coming back.. a quart of oil every 400 miles... that engine was rebuilt 3 times.. with different components.  and the results were the same..  when the owner came back again.. same issue. . i ask to see the truck..   looked in.. it was spotless.. a 72 ford pickup with a 390 FE motor..  i ask him the story.. he got the truck and it worked fine..  then he did a major tune up and then it started burning oil.. as he drove 2 or 3 times a week from los angeles to san diego.. he knew how many miles he got on a quart of oil.. i ask him if he had changed the PCV on that first tune up.. yep.. have you changed it again since you have had all these rebuilds..  nope.. i sent him to the ford dealer for an EXACT motorcraft or ford brand and  BOXED PCV valve..  don't accept it if its another brand.. or out of the box..  he came back an month later.. it has used 0 oil...

just last week another friend came by with a mini truck that was blowing out out. the breather elbow was clogged right at the entrance to the throttle body.. i cleaned that and verified it.. solved the problem...

you might want to select a MOPAR PCV valve and or the various components that create the PCV system on that model..   i have found the vacuum tubes also clogged on much earlier models..
