Alright guys...you knew this was coming so let's get the ball rolling!! As you guys know the competition between the Detroit Three Trucks is heating up.

We begin with the 2011 Ford Super Duty. The Super Duty here has an all-new 6.7-literPower Stroke diesel and creates 390 horsepower and 735 pound-feet of torque. Impressive numbers to say the least. For those of you interested in the towing, Ford makes 6,520 pounds of payload and 24,400 pounds of towing.

Now the 2011 Chevy Heavy Duty. As we all know Chevy was being sneaky and hush hush with the specific details of there heavy duty...perhaps strategy. Well we now know that the Heavy Duty will have a new 6.6-liter Duramax creating 397 horsepower and 765 pound-feet of torque. When it comes to towing, the HD will make 6,335 pounds of payload capacity and 20,000 pounds of towing capacity.

Finally we end with the truck that started the battle...the 2011 Ram Heavy Duty. The Ram will have a 6.7-liter Cummins diesel engine making a great 350 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque. Towing wise the Ram makes 5130 pounds of payload and 17,600 pounds of towing capacity.

Impressive number for all three trucks....plus they don't accelerate on there own!!...HAHAHA...I'm JK Toyota....anywho.... with stats down and set which is your pick?? Why is it your pick??

P.S. Let's try to keep this civilize people!!

As they say...competition improves the breed. All three will continue to have their loyalists. Honestly, the bigger deal for some people will be the upgraded frame in the 2011 GM HD models.

The all new powerjunk diesel and the ugliest snout this side of a camels tail with a towel head on it. Time to take another beat down with the ugly stick. Then a spankin by the DMAX / ALLISON AGAIN.! THATS RIGHT AGAIN.!

All though these trucks are way to big for my needs, I'd have to say Ford for my loyalty factor.

I am more of a gmc guy. I have to go with chevy here but if GMC was in here it would be hands down to them. The Denali HD is pretty cool

I've heard this statement before so I'll ask...what's the big difference between the Chevy and GMC truck?? As far as I'm concern they pretty much are the same truck with different badge.

Those rear fenders on the "all new" Ford  look like the Dodge fenders of the 70's and 80's

A real diesel is inline! Chevy has a Japanese motor..(Isuzu)   Ford motor is still really to new to comment. Dodge has the Cummins..What else is there to say? Cummins..Unless Chevy starts using a CAT or Detroit or some other manufacture of real American diesel they are just pissing in the wind..They all have been trying to out do the Cummins since 1992. But none have succeeded! No motor has the internal strength, durability,or anything else like the cummins.

Don't worry you'll only see the front of a new '11 Ford Super Duty if it's parked, otherwise, you may as well get used to the view of the tailgate! GM/Chevy beat at their own game of Chicken, 400 HP and 800 Torque! F-Series outselling Chevy and GMC TOGETHER!

Guys, I've worked in the timber and ranching industry for the past 35 years, and I have used every AMERICAN brand of truck during that time.  The fact is, you just don't see many GM products in the 4x4 WORKING heavy duty pickup segment.  They ride nice, like a car, but GM went to that IFS system in the 80's to go after the fishermen and horse hauler segment, which left the working trucks to Ford and Dodge.

If you spend most of your time towing on pavement, any of these trucks in 2wd would do a great job.  If you are going to work the truck, off the beaten path, go with the Ford or the Dodge, at least you'll have ground clearance and have less downtime with broken front drivetrain parts.

As for the engines, the new Ford intrigues me, and I may go back to being a proud Ford owner, but I'll wait a year or two before investing in one, see how they do in the real world, not the laboratory and computer simulation test track.  Until then the ole Dodge will just have to keep plugging along..

PS, GM won't get my business or interest until they get the Government out of their automobile business.

Ford should consider making Inline-6 Diesel engines. More durable, better reliability, everything? is a plus. But...you can't beat the powerstroke sound xD

I have been driving a new Ford SD for four months. It has been the best truck I have ever owned and I have owned several diesels. It is probably the strongest truck I have had to date.  I tow a 20,000 lb. trailer and I do not even know it is back there. Ford has finally got it right since the demise of the 7.3. I out pull my friends who have Dodges and Chevy's.  But, what ever truck you buy today you cannot go wrong.

My wife and I just arrived home from driving the 2011 Ford 250 diesel, Chevy 2500 diesel, and Dodge 2500 diesel all in 2wd as we tow a 36' toyhauler. We currently tow with an 05 Chevy 2500 with the 6.6 Turbo Diesel. - We've had no problems with it but have the new truck itch. Bottom line, we loved the power of the Ford, the look of the Chevy, and the Mega Cab on the dodge! We arrived home very undecided! Based on what we saw today, we are going to wait to see how the new Ford Diesel holds up, and will probably settle on it mid next year if the the reviews are all positive. Kinda scared of a new engine, but don't think 400 hp and 800 torque can be beat, especially pulling my rig up the grapevine!
