Drivers around the world have different techniques when it comes to driving. Some are safer than others but in my opinion, whatever gets the job done. However, there are many drivers out there that just do things they shouldn't do when behind a wheel. This all leads to irritating other drivers which may lead to what today is known as Road Rage. So while surfing the net I came across two list of the top 10 driving pet peeves. Take a look at the list and see which one's do you agree with. Which one's are not in the list and what would you add.

2006 List

1. Distracted drivers talking on cell phones
2. Slow drivers in the fast lane
3. Pushy drivers who tailgate
4. Drivers who weave through traffic to gain one or two car lengths
5. Obnoxious drivers who speed up to keep you from changing lanes
6. Hasty drivers who change lanes without signaling
7. Road Rage
8. Motorcyclists who race down the middle of a lane, between cars
9. Women applying makeup and men shaving
10. Drivers who leave their turn signal on for miles

2007 List

1. Tailgaters
2. Road rage
3. Grooming while driving
4. No turn signals
5. Slowpokes in the fast lane
6. Driving greedy - Hogging the lane all to yourself
7. The multi-lane dash - car makes a desperate diagonal bee-line across three lanes for an exit
8. Staggering merge - traffic gets hot and heavy and one lane is forced to merge with another.
9. Meals on wheels
10. Talkahaulic: People on Cell Phone

How about a list for a more up-to-date 2009 year??

Personally, I would list the following:

1.  A driver doing anything distracting to the number one thing they should be concentrating on:  driving their vehicle
(this includes textmessaging, talking on the cell phone, eating/drinking, grooming themselves, and anything else you can think of {once I witnessed a man READING a newspaper while he was driving!! and I am not joking})

How do you expect people to NOT "hog" lanes, make desperate diagonal bee-lines, and other outrageous behavior when television "glorifies" these kinds of behaviors (including drunken driving) by documenting them on film and then playing them over and over again for the enjoyment of the television viewer(s).

And when I am home with my vehicle safely parked ... WHY am I forced to listen to the person who insists on driving around and around the block with bone jolting, vibrating boom bass woofers; as well as inappropriate lyric content such as "f'ing this and f'ing that" and purpetual "n-word" useage?  This is very bad for young children to hear on a regular basis.

These are all serious problems that need to be addressed.  Lives could be saved.

My primary pet peeve is when drivers are/try speeding significantly faster than the flow of traffic. There is nothing to prove by being Speed Racer on public streets. An editorial piece from last month's Motor Trend succinctly illustrates my views.

Believe it or not I tried to get one in 2009 but couldn't locate one. If you can by all means post it up...although I don't anticipate much difference from two years ago. I do agree with you with your 1st statement...too many distractions on the road that can lead to serious accidents. As for "hog" lanes being glorified by TV and media...well that's debatable. Same goes for the loud music in cars...although I do agree they should be considerate of there surroundings and more importantly there own ears...loud vibrations like that does hurt the human ears and in the long run they are going to find out first hand.

I don't know if I can pick just one of those, all very annoying!
Top 4 list: when slow drivers are in the fast lane, when people leave their blinkers on, obnoxious drivers who speed up to keep you from changing lanes, and motorcyclists driving between cars.

My #1 pet peave is passengers behind the wheel. If you're behind the wheel, be a driver not a passenger!

questions from kentucky. yes i know you all do trucks a lot . but i have a suv 2009 ford edge. yes its ft. wheel drive. is there any way you can make or custom weld some type of bar or bars to allow you to tow more weight than the suv edge does right now . can you put heavy coil springs on the rear or air shocks or air bags or gas shocks or make some type of bars for the rear end that. would allow you too tow more weight. with out messing up the engine and its drivetrain and trans.
