I HAVE A 75 FORD 4X4 WITH A 428 CJ ENGINE. THE ALTERNATOR LIGHT STAYS ON, AND THE BATTERY DRAINS OVERNIGHT UNLESS I DISCONNECT. ONE OTHER THING, WHEN I REV THE ENGINE, THE RADIO TURNS OFF UNTIL I LET UP ON THE PEDAL. THE ALTERNATOR CHECKS OUT OKAY, BUT I'VE BEEN TOLD IT MAY HAVE A BAD DIODE. ANY HELP?????

Have u replaced the Alternator yet? Who's given the OK on the alternator? And whens the last time u had to replace the battery? Some times those just go out and can hold the charge from a good Alternator

Sounds like its a wiring problem and or a battery. Make sure the battery is strong enough for the systems your running, an underpowered battery can over work an alternator and not power the vehicle under heavy loads.
