usan Docherty did a deep dive into the Terrain during a Web chat on the corporate GM FastLane blog, responding to questions by consumers. She said there are "no current plans for a Denali version" of the Terrain, contradicting an earlier report from GM that it was considering such a move. She also said there are "no plans for a diesel version at this time."
"We are not considering building a ¿Buick' version of the Terrain/[Chevrolet] Equinox," she said in response to a question. In late August, GM pulled the plug on a Buick variant of the Terrain/Equinox after a version received negative reaction from media and consumer groups.
Docherty also addressed the limited availability of the Terrain.

Is anyone really surprised by this? I never thought or expected there would be a diesel option for the Equinox/Terrain. Probably some random auto-journo question that all the rest of the assembled horde picked up on and ran with. The most logical vehicle in this segment to have a diesel option would be the VW Tiguan, and that doesn't have it. So what makes anyone think that traditionally diesel-averse GM would offer one?
