The 2009 Dodge Ram got redesigned in order to compete more efficiently with the Ford F-150 and Chevy Silverado. The reviews of the truck have been great but there is always someone on the crowd that complains about something and criticizes it because of it. So today I ask you a simple question, what would you change in the Ram to make it better? Why would you change that and what would be the outcome? Now this can be anything in the truck, whether it be engine, interior, exterior, etc.

Payload underrated for 09 model year. 2010 year does have increased payload and towing capacities with out any physical changes to the truck.

Include trailer brake controller with towing package like Ford does.

Other than those two things I have nothing else to complain about. The new 2009 Dodge RAM is an awesome truck and in my opinion is ahead of the competition. That is why I went from Ford to my first Dodge.

2009 RAM is a truck I urge everyone to atleast drive and consider.

Yes the Ram has been upgraded and finally looks like a mean truck. Personally I've never been a fan of Dodge but when I saw this 09 Ram at the L.A. Auto Show I was truly surprise. The interior alone makes people ahh and ohhh. Very nice truck indeed, now if they could only increase fuel efficiency and tow capacity to compete with the F-150.

Transmision gearing. There is too big a space between 1st and 2nd, closing the gap would help with acceleration, and towing.

More ground clearance for 4x4 models, for the two wheel drives I'm fine, it helps with mpgs but 4x4 can scrape a little too easy when going through rougher stuff.

I love the truck otherwise.

re: -1

I agree... but I'd add it for the 2WD versions as well.  Clearance is important especially on construction sites and also just out on back roads around where I live.
