Here are the top 10 foods to not eat, according to Insurance.com, while on your way to work!
Hopefully I won't see anyone eating chili dogs or ribs and wings today.
:
1) Coffee. Even with a travel lid, hot coffee can find its way out of the opening when you hit a bump. 2) Hot soup. Many people drink it like coffee and run the same risks. 3) Tacos. Any food that can disassemble itself will leave your car looking like a salad bar. 4) Chili dogs. Huge potential for drips and slops down the front of clothing. 5) Hamburgers. From the grease to the toppings, it could end up on your hands and the steering wheel. 6) Ribs and wings. What's more distracting than licking your fingers? 7) Fried chicken. More greasy hands. You've got to wipe them off while you're driving. 8) Jelly donuts. It's not possible to eat one without watching the center ooze out. 9) Soda. Carbonation. Fizz in the nose. Lids that leak. Disaster. 10) Chocolate. Try to clean melted chocolate off the steering wheel without swerving.

I'm guilty on the coffee one, but generally the only one I have in the car (rarely) are burritos. I don't make a habit of eating in the car unless I have a super-early appointment and not a lot of time for breakfast.

MotherProof.com adds their own list of kid-oriented foods to not eat in the car:
:
• Cheetos, Doritos or any cheesy snack: Cheesy snacks are so good, but they coat the fingers with a thick, atomic-orange powder that begs to be wiped on car seatbacks. • Ice cream: Some parents make the mistake of allowing a cup of ice cream — “Hey, at least it’s not a cone, right?” — in the car. Rookie move. Even in a cup, that ice cream will be melting into the backseat before you can say “Here’s a napkin.” • Bagel with cream cheese: One bite and the cream cheese is oozing out of the bagel and onto your child’s shirt. If you’re lucky, it’ll stay on the easy-to-clean shirt and not get on your car’s hard-to-clean upholstery. • Caramel dipping sauce (for apple slices): Yes, I actually gave this to my son after an emergency trip through a McDonald’s drive-through. Yes, both the boy and the car were sticky. Yes, I might be an idiot. • Milk: Most first-time moms learn this quickly after leaving a sippy cup of milk in the car for a day or two. Don’t even get me started on how long a sour-milk smell can linger. • Chocolate: I’ve tried giving my kids M&Ms, thinking it was the safest chocolate for the car, but I was so wrong. While M&Ms don’t melt as quickly as some chocolate — love that candy shell — they do fit perfectly into the cracks and crevices of my car, just waiting for that hot summer day when they can melt into the carpet.

Eating while driving in general is probably a bad idea, but who among us hasn't been guilty of it at one point or another?

Actually I like snickers anytime I've eaten the Baby Ruths it goes everywhere, I wouldn't let anyone in my truck with one!
I'm with BKong, I usually don't eat while driving, I like to be on full alert for those who aren't.

I dont eat in my car, unless Its like on a long drive from LA to AZ. I Might stop and get some thing some where along the way. But there is no eating in my 99.8% of the time. My two year old nephew had to learn that no bottles, or sippy cups where allowed in my car. I've seen what he does in his mothers car and I dont play those games.
So ya... nothing goes in my car...
