: A couple of days ago, we asked you to send us pictures of your clunker before they go to the Great Junkyard in the Sky. Our goal: to find the worst clunker in America.
Well, the pictures are starting to roll in. Every few days, we're going to present a few of these rolling eyesores for your inspection. And today, David Vetter of Mebane, N.C., has given us a great candidate. Actually, it's a pretty smooth vehicle -- 'cept for that nagging bullet hole behind the left rear door. (Not even one of those bullet-hole decals). He writes:
"I traded this in for a new 2010 Camry and got $4500! It had a bullet hole in the left rear quarter panel, a side window that would not roll up, unknown mileage since the speedo/odo broke years ago, faded paint, etc. I paid $600 for it 2 years ago and my daughter and I have driven it for 2 years. Thanks, Obama!"
No word on exactly how a Rodeo ended up as target practice. But the price is sure right. That sounds about as good as it gets: a $600 investment, lived with only two years and $4,500 off a new Camry. Good going, David!
