hey thanks for reading im hoping to hear from someone who knows lots about chevy im thinking about buying a 98 s10 pickup off a friend and was hoping to street rod it and was wonding how big i can go as far as engine size i saw one with a 305.. want to go bigger if i can.. i have a 350 can i doit??

The 350 is externally the same dimensions as a 305. If you can put a 305 in there, there's no reason you can't do a 350 as well. I would suggest maybe getting an LS-style engine (LS1, LS2, LS3). They're compact, relatively light, and make a lot of power right out of the box, and now there's a lot of aftermarket support for them.

thanks for the advice.. im looking for sumthing i could work on and possibly drive if need be in the winter i live in winnipeg canada and the temps here can drop as low as -50 with the wind chill... i got a nice warm garage to hide in.. so im not sure if the Ls series is quite what im looking for but again thank you.. any advice on a rear-end?? dont know a ton about trucks but i do love to learn so anything u can tell me helps..
