According to this posting from theConsumerist and this specials page from University Dodge of Miami, you can buy one Ram Quad Cab and get a second Single Cab for free. Yay or nay?

This falls under the heading of "If it seems to good to be true...."
I wonder what the catch is?

No real catches, just a lot of fine print. From the looks of the fine print, the offer was only valid for one day anyway, and you had to finance through Chrysler Financial Services I think (whatever CFS stands for). I'm not even sure if you'd be able to choose the free Ram, or if they'd choose one at random for you.

I think the deal is buy the Quad Cab for msrp (somewhere in the $30k range, I am sure), and get a base 6cyl for free. I have seen specials for the quad cab for $18k or so, and the base truck for like $12k, so this isn't that great of a deal. The Ram (or any other truck) is not worth retail/MSRP price with the level of incentives we have these days.
