Gaylord Truck Bed Lids

The Gaylord fiberglass bed cover is very nice and well constructed. But, unless you plan to drive there and have it installed, don't waste your money. Once you pay for it, it's yours and you have no support if there is a problem. Gaylord's attitude is once you order the top it belongs to you, if you are not happy with the product, too bad it's yours. They use a specific shipping company, this company is their choice not yours. Yet, if they damage the product you are left to deal with the shipping company on your own. What it all boils down to is, you pay for and expect to receive a new - undamaged product but end up with a nightmare. What was supposed to be a happy birthday gift has turned into hopeless headache.  

Thanks for the review, would you mind telling us what exactly happened to the lid? Was it an obvious manufacturer error, or was it the shipping company that mishandled it?

They do not have good costumer service after the sale, I bought a x2000 lid thru Styling trucks paid for the opt for it to be painted ,white GM truck, It came in white gell coat, I guess they were just trying me , just think how many other people that wouldn't know the difference,Also Ive heard them doing the same on there black ones,Well,I went thru HELL with them trying to get them to pay for a paint job. they wanted me to build a create and pay to ship it back to them ,it was over 300 bucks,then she offered to pay 200 to have it painted, the lowest estament was 267.50 with tax, no labor for r&r.It took over 2 months to get them to send a CK to the body shop, I had rounds with the owners wife ,which is running it,she was the nastiest *** Ive ever had dealings with,I couldn't believe how she was acting toward me.Ive never been treated so badly being a paying costumer.They sent a ck for 236.00,I had to pay the rest.
