I have a new 2008 Silverado 5.3 and want to put a cold air intake on it. Any suggestions on which brand is best. Has any one else out there put a cold air intake on and gotten good results ?

I only checked for an AEM Brute Force intake and K&N intake, and found a K&N intake for your 5.3L:
K&N Intake
Intakes are more or less the same across most brands, the pricier ones may come with better install instructions, better warranty, better fitment, etc. If it were me, I'd stick with a bigger name, just in case.
