According to Pickuptruck.com

:
"General Motors has postponed the launch of its next-generation full-size pickups (code named C3XX) while the company takes time to figure out where the truck market is headed.

The pause for study is expected to take six months. It's unknown when the future trucks will arrive. They were originally expected to debut in 2012.

GM also said it will extend the life of its current GMT900 pickups, the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra. The move will free up resources to work on more fuel-efficient vehicles that have gained popularity as gas prices have risen."

NOW Focus on Mini Trucks again!!!

Well, the GMT-400s had a 10 year model run, and the GMT-800s had a 7 year run, so it's not that unreasonable with a couple of re-freshes for the GMT-900s to go 6-7 years.

Not only that, the Duramax 4500 is coming in 2010, and that's supposed to get about 19 city/26 highway. I think those things will sell like gangbusters. Especially if they have a full 10,000 lb. towing capacity, unlike the hybrids, that max out at 6,000.
