I would say that's a good guess. They are nice trucks!

I think the new f-150 is ugly. Those headlights don't work on that truck. The ram is beautiful

I have to agree the Dodge is a better looking truck and with the independent rear end, a better riding truck, but if you tow heavy, go with the Ford. Bigger payload as well.

Actually, it seems to me that the construction companies are using old Toyotas and Nissans small trucks.  They are a lot more economical to buy and use. I actually am not happy to give my money to a foreign company, but I am also not happy to give my money to one of the Big 3. They make overpriced trucks to have large profit margins.  In the end the taxpayer is going to have to bail them out.  Forget it and just buy used.

In 2000 I wanted to buy a truck made in the US. I did not want to give my US dollars to a company who built their trucks in Mexico. I settled for a 2000 Tundra. It has been a very good truck. Last year I gave it to my 22 year old son to drive. At the time I was driving a US built Ford F250 V-10 power. The fuel bill was choking me to death so, I traded it for a 2005 US built Tundra. My Tundra has delivered everything I wanted it to do.

My friend just purchased 2008 Tundra. His community forbids him from parking it in the driveway. The homeowner association says if it were a luxury type vehicle it would be ok. Same thing happened to a man in Frisco Texas few months back with his Ford F-150.
This legislative session I will present to legislators a report and petition showing how widespread this issue has become concerning pickup trucks in communities. If you wish to help just sign this online direct link petition.

Did he know this before he moved in that community? They tell me that, no way I move in.

Community rules just say no trucks.  He had a Lincoln Blackwood for couple years, no issue. For some reason the Tundra is an eye sore to the association I guess.

Actually the US Special Forces bought many Tacoma trucks off the local dealers in California, and refitted them for Afghanistan...

Right there is the reason why I dislike the Tundra owners, it's because they were fooled by Toyota's decieveing advertising. Educated people who know trucks, know why the Tundra appears to be the best half ton on the market. It's because its really not a 1/2 ton, its a 3/4 ton truck advertised as a 1/2. Also, if the chevy/ford/dodge trucks had a whopping 4.30:1 final drive ratio in the rear, they too would be able to tow what the tundra can. which is also the reason the tundra makes that much power. If you compared the tundra to the class it truely lives in, against the american 3/4 ton trucks, the american trucks would perform much better and then the competition would be equal. Comparing 3/4 ton to 3/4 ton. Also look at their frame, its a C channel. Where the new chevys and fords are boxed, not sure about dodge. Also I feel the tundra's interrior is extremely cheap compared to the other three.

I am sorry to inform you that the Tundra is made in America by Americans. It does have a good motor made in Japan. But most of the money spent on Tundra's stays in America (the biggest cost in manufacturing is the labor - and most of that labor was done in the US). Most of the parts on many "American" cars and trucks are actually made outside America. So what makes a vehicle "American"? If you want to keep money in America, make sure to check the percentage of parts made here in the US.
