Like the next Ford Explorer as previewed by the Explorer America concept, the next Dodge Durango is expected to migrate to a new unibody platform, probably shared with the next Jeep Grand Cherokee and scheduled for the 2011 model year (also, like the next Explorer). Despite the unibody, it’ll probably remain rear-drive-based, as it’ll share components with Mercedes-Benz, a remnant from Chrysler’s old relationship with Daimler AG. -MT
