Now that both Dodge and Ford debuted their all-new redesigned trucks at the 2008 North American International Auto show, which truck do you like best?

Not sure without seeing them in person, but I think I like the Ford.  Dont know why they are always last on the engine technology.  wheres the vvt and why does Ford of Australia get the good power and the U.S. gets 300-310.  Does anyone at Ford see whats going on.  If they want to retain their sales lead they must not be in the back on this front no matter how nice their trucks really are, in my opinion.  I do drive an '07 F150 and love it but that is beside the point?!

I think both are good looking trucks, but I prefer the Dodge, the Ford is a little to boxy looking for my tast, and I like the large storage compartments on the sides of the Dodge, they would eliminate my need for a bed cover.  I also like the idea of a coil spung rear suspension on a half ton.

The F-150 is the vastly superior product. While I understand the Hemi V8 on the Dodge has an "advertised" greater horsepower rating, the design is about as ancient as they come. And the interior on the new Dodge looks like it belongs in a 1995 Neon.

The inside of the F-150 is a piece of modern industrial art. The rear bed features built in steps in the tailgate and sides for the raised box bed that gives the truck such a great ride loaded or not. (Why did no one think of that before?)

Can you tell I think the F-150 is better?

The F-150 is my choice over any truck out there.

For the half-ton market, I give the top points to Dodge for their useful saddle-side lockers, their regular-sized crewcab, and their better rear suspension. It puts them at the top of the 1/2-ton heap until the GMC hybrid truck appears. I hope Dodge adds their lockers to a short-bed dualie.

The F150 only gets the six-speed transmission, a tailgate step, and a new interior. I can't be as objective for the F150. I am more partial to the SuperDuty (throw in a six-speed transmission, adjustable headrests, and F150's door handles).
