Spy photos!!! 2009 Ford F-150

Ford hasn't spent too much time disguising its redesigned F-150 truck during recent testing, in sharp contrast to the heavy camouflage that has been used in the past. Good news for the spy shooters over at KGP who were able to snap off a clean photo before it was covered and loaded back onto its trailer, bound for Dearborn.
Surprisingly, styling changes seem to be fairly subtle. A revised hood, grille (clearly reminiscent of the Ford Edge crossover), front bumper, and new lighting front and rear are all present, and the fenders display a crease that follows the flared wheel arches -- an interesting design touch. A new side trim strip adorns the side of this F-150 prototype and the mirrors have changed too, with a more streamlined shape.
Tape blocking only the F-150's tell-tale badging makes us think that the facelifted F-150 is fairly close to production. In fact, we should be seeing its debut at the 2008 Detroit auto show this January. We hope to get the inside scoop on what's going on beneath the flesh of the new F-150 in the near future too.
