I feel I can relate after reading November/December 2007's Whale Watching Column. My first truck related run in with the law came just a few years ago, mere months after I got my 1970 Chevy C-10 LWB. I was pulled over because the officer "misread" the tag on my plate, thinking it had expired a few months ago, when in reality, I still had over half the year left until it expired. I think the only reason he "misread" the tag was because he thought I was'n wearing a seatbelt, but much to his disappointment, the truck's lap belts were buckled-up. It seems pickup drivers are targeted for not wearing seat belts, and I think its good. I know a lot of people who refuse to drive one buckled up.
