Mazda To Sponsor Blenheim Triathlon, to be held on June 2-3

Mazda has become the title sponsor of the Blenheim Triathlon, to be held on June 2-3.

More than 5000 entries have been received for the event, which requires competitors to swim for 750 metres, cycle for 21km and then run for 5km. If that sounds a bit intimidating, there's an alternative Super Sprint event where the distance are 400 metres, 12km and 2.5km respectively, and there's also a team competition in which each member takes part in just one of the disciplines rather than all three.

Mazda is using this event to promote its 256bhp four-wheel drive Mazda CX-7 crossover SUV, which officially goes on sale in the UK in September.
