Wait, you seriously put towing and hauling up in the top 5? Uh uh, this one cannot handle the towing or hauling even light duty full sizes and v-6 midsizes can.  They really struggle hauling.

Price. Price. Price. For the amount of money needed for a Ridgeline, a Tundra or even nice Chevy can be had (the gas mileage is not that different). It is the best car-truck variant to date though.

My Ford F.150 Workseries was a Truck.  Huge, Huge Fuel Bill, Easily yank a house off it's foundation.

My Escape I have now is a Trucklet.  Small, Small Fuel Bill, Easily pull a Utility trailer, not a House off it's foundation.

The Ridgeline, is possibley the largest Trucklet on the market.  It has a bed, A+ / It can pull a light duty trailer. B- / It can seat 4 cozy. A+ / It can't do serious rough roads or work. C+ / And finally the underbed storage is a SUPER IDEA... If only they didn't put the spare tire in their.  Get a flat with a loaded bed and your cursing the automotive gods.  A+ and ***

So the Ridgeline is not a Truck..... It is a Trucklet.  And I would still prefer my Ford Escape.

Explain to me what is better if you like driving cars but need the utility - and not the towing, an SUV?

AstroMan:
Ridgelines are for homos & Canadians, no real American man would drive one.

And that's why the US is in the predicament we're in... somewhere monster trucks and SUVs became macho, and once the "other head" starts making decisions, nature takes over.

Having been to Europe and Australia... apparently dudes there don't have the size inadequacies men do in the US... cuz there aren't any monster trucks :-)  Oh, and they're also 100# smaller than Americans, so they don't need monster trucks.

Although the Ridgeline is probably the blueprint for future "trucks" it lacks two things that are important for it to be a real truck in my opinion.  A low range and rear wheel drive.  If you tow alot low range and rear wheel drive make it much easier.  Otherwise it is just a crossover with a bed.  That being said I would rather have a Toyota Tacoma or Dodge Dakota, both of which would tow better, hold the same amount of people and get mileage close to that of a Ridgeline.

I prefer the Nissan Frontier quad cab with a short bed and 4x4 off road package.  At least the Nissan is capable off road, unlike the Accord, I mean Ridgeline.

If it could be "towed" 4 down, I'd consider it.  I am in a position where I only have one vehicle, besides my motor home and need a "toad".  The Colorado can be towed with automatic and 4X4 where the Ridgeline can't.  I am towing my full size crew cab right now and need a smaller more efficient truck to tow.

dude please think then speak, The Avalanche was in production YEARS before the Ridgeline. The only time I've heard the two mentioned in the same sentence was when I believe either a Car and Driver or Motor Trend reporter said it looked as if HONDA directly copied the CHEVY with the cheesy plastic looking things attached to the C pillar.
