1996 Dodge Dakota. But I learned to parallel park on an 1999 Ford F-350 4x4 with a 14 foot rack body on it. We were out in it and my father said, "Park there." Ummm, okay. Managed to do it fine after two tries. Now I drive 42 foot buses in the city. He also had be backing up trailers when i was about 12. It's great growing up in the country.

Haha, my first truck?? A 1970 Datsun truck, with a 1600cc OHC 4-cylinder engine that was unbreakable. It was a 4-speed manual and its top speed was 90mph, but it ran like a clock and was easy to work on...learned a lot from it.

My first truck was a 1958 F-100 I was given. Originally had a 223 mileage maker 6 with 3 on the tree. I re-engined it with a 1957 Thunderbird special 312 witha Borg-Warner T85 and overdrive. I am one of those people who couldn't really justify a truck till I had one, I'm on my third one now.

Not my first vehicle but my first truck was a 1978 Chevrolet Silvarado. A half ton, two wheel drive with a 350 4bbl and an auto trans. It was a nice little truck. Had some more Bowties since that one. The rest were four wheel drives. I switched to Dodge somewhere along the line and am on probably my twelvth one. I still buy cars too, but I'll never be without a four wheel drive pickup again....and no I won't help you move.

The first truck I ever drove was my dad's 74 ford F-100 that we mostly kept around the farm or drove to town on occasion. He sold it before I turned 16 and we got out of farming so I ended up with a car for a while but the first truck I ever owned was a 1991 Ford Ranger regular cab. 2.3 liter 4 cylinder 5-speed tranny. No AC. Loved that truck. I'm actually looking for another one like it.

My first truck is the first vehicle i've ever had. Same vehicle I have now. It's a 91 GMC Sierra. 305, 2wd, ext cab. Built just up the highway from me in Oshawa, Ontario, and in the same year i was born. Love that truck, but i'll be forced to sell it before I go to school. I really want it to find a good home, if I cant keep it forever.
One day I want to find that same type of truck to restore.

My first truck was a 1980 and a half GMC half ton 250 inline 6 4wd 4spd std. One of the funnest trucks I've ever drove not because it had power because it didnt stock that year it had 130hp which with the dual fuel had probaly 85hp lol and no first gear lol i blew it mudding one day but it still had low gear which got me to barly 10kmph then 2nd was my power gear 10-80kmph lol Hills sucked. But i loved it so much im restoring it and putting a 350 crate in it and might as well it only has 84000 kms on it. It was fun because my truck had its own personality.

My first was a '98 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 reg cab, short bed, flame red. I put some goodies into it and drove it like I stole it. I towed with it for work almost every day and four wheeled with it on the weekends. It finaly left me on the back of a wrecker when it was totaled in a wreck at 187k. Of course I had still been driving it for a week after the wreck, although it did bother me to see the pavement as I drove.
I missed that truck so much that 2 years later I bought almost the exact same truck. '01 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 Off Road package, reg cab, short bed, black with some goodies.
Gotta love a solid front axle!
